WHO WE ARE
We are a funky, chic, stylish bar in the picturesque village of Ingleton in the North Yorkshire Dales, as seen in the Guardian newspaper.
Meet Jade and Chris, the new custodians of the OPO Bar in Ingleton. Having seen the light, and finally moving up north, they are looking forward to becoming part of the Ingleton community and getting to know all the visitors to the OPO Bar.
Over the years, the OPO has become an institution, with visitors coming from far and wide to experience the atmosphere and hospitality it has become known for. Jade and Chris see this next phase as an evolution rather than a revolution, with some things staying the same, and some changes to come as they bring their own personalities to the bar.
We boast three individual themed areas ‘The Taproom’ with its gallery of pictures, where opulence meets industrial. This is to the front of the bar where you can sit back, relax and make new friends.
The ‘Soho Speakeasy’ is to the rear and has a more adult themed and intimate atmosphere with neon lights and titillating pictures. Here you can imagine yourself immediately transported to London or Amsterdam.
Finally ‘The Secret Drinks Garden’ with its Games of Thrones themed area called ‘The Sanctum’ perfect for alfresco drinking, enjoying the fresh air, catching the sun and imagining yourself on a film set.
We serve a great range of local ales, craft beers, international beers, spirits, wine and cocktails together with premium snacks. We also offer takeaway drinks for those in a hurry, wanting to stock up on your favourite tipple or take a gift home..
The OPO is certainly the place to be seen, whether it’s for a refreshing drink after a long walk in the hills or a night out on the town with friends, we cater for everyones taste with our huge selection of drinks and we can promise you a wonderful and memorable experience in our cool bar, combined with our own fantastic customer service.
